On a warm summer day, nothing hits the spot quite like a cool and refreshing drink. Enter Watermelon Slushies.
These dreamy slushies are not icy or super sugary, which makes them perfect for parents and kids alike. They are so easy to make and consist of only four ingredients.
Watermelon Mint Slushies
Serves: 2-3 servings
Ingredients
- 4 ½ cups seedless watermelon cubed and frozen
- ⅓ cup liquid (lemonade, water, or vodka*)
- ½ lime juiced
- A handful of mint + more for garnish
- Optional: Lime or lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions
- Cut watermelon into 1" cubes and place on a baking sheet in the freezer for at least 1 hour.
- Once frozen, combine watermelon in a blender (or in a bowl and use an immersion blender) with liquid of choice*, a handful of mint, and lime juice. Blend until it is the consistency of a thick smoothie.
- Pour or scoop slushie into glasses, garnish with lime or lemon wedges, mint sprigs, and any leftover watermelon. Best enjoyed right away.
